Katy Perry has had more hair colour changes than I've had hot dinners – and her appearance at the NARM Music Biz Awards was no different.
Katy wore a self-described “goth” look, consisting of two tone purple and black hair, slinky black dress with see-through panels, rosary beads and oh-so-hot dark, plum coloured lipstick.

Perhaps Katy is drawn to the edgier look so she can show off to her new musician boyfriend, Robert Ackroyd, who plays in Florence and the Machine. Judging from the cute pics we've seen of them together, she is well over her ex-husband Russell Brand.
Katy is the first to admit she's changed her style, tweeting about her new, intense look.

Katy Perry isn't the only one digging the purple hair look right now – Kelly Osbourne has joined the list of stars rocking the purple look.
Kelly, pictured here at the Kreiss 75th anniversary celebration at Kreiss in Los Angeles, California said the purple thing has a lot to do with giving her hair a break.
"I can't keep bleaching my hair and I want to grow it so I take breaks in between," she said recently. "I did it a year ago but it was more of a lavender gray, but I went straight gray this time."

Now, Kelly has gone for a more straight up purple look, keeping her ahead of the pack when it comes to colouring trends.
Kelly says that her mother Sharon hates the purple though. "This is the woman who made me the person that I am today and she questions it. I don't understand it!"
Other celebs that have rocked purple hair in the past are Jessie J, Lady Gaga, Selena Gomezand Ellie Goulding.
Other hair colours have been popular of late too – Katy Perry and Lady Gaga have had their hair pretty much every colour under the sun, while Nicki Minaj and Gwen Stefani are big fans of pink.

The stars have started the party early in Hollywood, even Gerard Butler got out of rehab to attend the Weinstein Pre-Oscar party.
Madonna, Meryl Streep, Katy Perry, Scarlett Johansson, and Michelle Williams were just some of the A-listers at the event. Whilst Diane Kruger, Rachel Bilson, Ginnifer Goodwin, and Freida Pinto were round the corner at the annual Chanel and Charles Finch Pre-Oscar party.
If their Pre-Oscar looks are anything to go by, then it's going to be a fantastic year for Oscar fashion.
