We haven't heard from Rove McManus in a while, but that doesn't mean he hasn't been busy. Since moving to LA he's been making quite a name for himself and this week he managed to score arguably the hottest gig in the game – hosting Entertainment Tonight!
Yep, our little Rove joined host Nancy O'Dell for the night hosting the show. Her co-host Mark Steines left the show last month, with the replacement as yet un-named.
Could Rove's fill-in spot be a tester to see if he is up to handling co-hosting duties?
"Thanks so much for helping me out," O'Dell said at the end of the program.
"It's been an absolute pleasure, let's do it again some time,” he replied. Is that a hint?
On Twitter Rove seemed as surprised as the rest of us that he'd ended up on the show.

Since leaving his TV chat show Rove after 10 years, Rove has been living in Los Angeles, appearing as a regular on Jay Leno's Tonight Show and as a regular roundtable guest on Chelsea Lately.
He also hosted a TV show called The List on the ABC network which was unsuccessful.

It's Emmy's day today and we spoke to our correspondent on the ground in LA - the one and only Rove McManus!
He's been busy in the US with his spanking new show, Rove LA, which starts tonight on FOX 8, but he still made time for us - on his way to the Emmy's no less!
He's looking forward to meeting the likes of John Stewart and Jimmy Fallon although realises he may not be sitting quite as close to the action as those guys!

It appears that there's no love lost between Rove McManus and Kyle Sandilands, with the pair each giving their take on their so-called rivalry.
McManus was asked on the ASTRA Awards red carpet why he thought Sandilands didn't think too highly of him, saying that he had "no feelings either way".
Kyle replied in kind, and had some choice words to describe Rove. Listen here.
