Hip hop maestro and producer extraordinaire Kanye West was here in July for Splendour in the Grass and is now set to return for Australia’s most renowned annual festival, The Big Day Out!

Coldplay’s New Album out This October! Posted by Zo 16 August, 2011 - 2:21 PM
After their recent headliners at our very own Splendour in the Grass festival, followed by world renowned Lollapalooza last weekend – Coldplay have even more in store for us! A new album!
It’s their 5th studio album and called Mylo Xyloto, due out October 25. It's hard to believe the 4 piece have had time to hit studio between their heavy touring schedule... but the boys’ creativity seem to be insuppressible.
Mylo Xyloto’s release date announcement comes without a track listing, but will obviously include the band’s latest single, "Every Teardrop is a Waterfall".
If you managed to see Coldplay over the past few months, you would have scored a sneaky at some of their other proposed material; to make every gig unique they have been playing a different new track at each. Nice!
Also check out the cool graffiti cover art for the album designed by David A. Carter. which some lucky diehards will be able to snap up as a limited edition pop-up book.

Coldplay gave a taste of what Australia could expect at Splendour in the Grass with their announcement that they'll be back to tour in 2012.
"...We'll be back at some point in 2012 to do a proper tour," said bass player Guy Berryman to Brisbane's Courier Mail.
The Brit band tugged at every one of the 30,000 fans braving the cold Splendour weather with their own tribute to Amy Winehouse starting "Fix It" with a bit of Amy's popular "Rehab".

Kate Moss has hit Australia! After being spotted eating and drinking around Sydney with her new husband Jamie Hince, Kate Moss has been snapped at Queensland's Splendour in the Grass festival!
Her husband's band The Kills are playing at Splendour in the Grass this weekend and it's no surprise Kate came along for the ride, seeing as her and Jamie only just got married a few weeks ago.
Splendour is set to be quite the celebrity hang out this weekend, with Coldplay and Kanye West also on the bill.
It is believed that this is Kate's very first trip to Australia.
So jealous of everyone at Splendour!
