News from the Big Brother Compound - Dani's Blog Joseph Zammit 12 June, 2008 - 3:13 PM

The latest news from the Big Brother compound is that Hollywood star, Adam Sandler will soon be entering the house! My initial reaction to this news was slight jealousy because the only visitor we had in the house last year was Kyle Sandilands who ended up leaving with a migraine after a few hours.

The housemates are 7 weeks into the experience and I can guarantee that a new face that is not in the "competition" is going to be like therapy for them. It’s at exactly this point where the novelty really wears off, the walls start to cave in and there is not much more you can find out about your fellow housemates.

The only person I feel sorry for would have to be Mr Sandler who will be bombarded with questions and housemates will be fighting for his attention.

But there is one other question which comes to my mind; why so many visitors inside the Big Brother house this year?

For a program which is meant to be about individuals forming relationships and giving viewers the opportunity to see human beings, being exactly that, I wonder if all of these visitors are there to make up for something.

Perhaps make up for the fact that the housemates this year, dare I say it, are not as interesting and dynamic as they have been in previous years?

Or perhaps this is just Big Brother throwing in as much entertainment into one season as possible.

  Adam Sandler is so awsome and one of the best actors eva! I sure hope he's comming into the house, that would be soo cool! Plus, it would definetly spice the house up a little.

  I think that the show hasn't been getting good ratings so it has thrown celebrities into the house to grab everyone's attention and try and make the show more popular...

  The prizes were pathetic this year...All Contestants should have received what they did including at least a scooter ! Then the final 6 a scooter & a small car Then the Final 2 Contestants A scooter & Decent car
  The winner should receive all prizes that the other contestants doo including the money.... I think the prize factor also brings viewers,They are tight asses!!!!! Give more & dont waste money on celeberities.
