Bruno is going back to his Austrian roots with a bold fashion statement in the next blast of promotion for the upcoming comedy flick.
Sacha Baron Cohen’s hilarious supermodel turned style reporter character, Bruno, is pictured in ‘banana’ bright yellow Lederhosen hotpants and matching hat in a field of yellow flowers in the new promotional poster.
The tagline refers to Cohen’s last hit movie, declaring: “Borat was so 2006”.
The full name of the film is “Bruno: Delicious Journeys Through America For The Purpose Of Making Heterosexual Male”.
The extra-long title carries on in the tradition of his last film, which Cohen hilariously called “Borat: Cultural Learnings Of America For Make Benefit Glorious Nation Of Kazakhstan.
Based on the trailer alone, ScandalAnt reckons the latest offering from Cohen, due out on July 10, will be even funnier and more outrageous than his last.
Among the highlights:
- Bruno infiltrates the Alabama National Guard under the guise of a German documentary-maker and strips in front of a locker room-full of crew-cut squaddies to reveal a camouflage thong.
- US Republican right-winger Ron Paul agrees to a TV interview supposedly about Austrian economics only to find himself in a candle-lit hotel bedroom, where Bruno offers cheap champagne and attempts to seduce the 73-year-old.
Cohen, who is married to Australian actor Isla Fisher, has faced a variety of legal troubles over his comic creations, including a string of lawsuits from members of the public who claim they were duped into appearing in his 2006 film, Borat.
One was thrown out of court last week and another two were dismissed last week.

I'm loving the new outfit Scandalant...but it does make me wince sometimes watching SBC trick some poor innocent redneck types...I can't help but pity them!
