Party Boy Corey Gets Real Job – Genuine Or Publicity Stunt? Posted by ScandalAnt 12 June, 2009 - 1:42 PM
Notorious party boy Corey Worthington has well and truly juiced his 15 minutes of fame and he knows it – making the sensible decision to get a real job. Or is it just a clever new backdrop for another exclusive media deal?Worthington hit headlines in January last year after a MySpace-organised party at his family's Narre Warren home in Victoria, drew a boozy mob of up to 500 youths, leaving a path of destruction through the neighbourhood.
The over-reactive police response involving the air wing and dog squad, helped fuel an avalanche of media coverage and saw celebrity agent Max Markson come on board to sniff out opportunities.
Markson brokered some one-off gigs, including a British phone company commercial and a “house guest’ appearance on the final season of Big Brother but last month appealed for a job for his client as a concreter, carpenter or bricklayer.
“His 15 minutes of fame is well and truly gone,” Markson told News Limited.
Worthington’s now pulled out of a two-week work experience stint with blokey mag Zoo Weekly after landing a real job in Melbourne.
Markson says he doesn’t know where or any details. Yeah.. sure! ScandalAnt expects a magazine/TV exclusive in the near future along the lines of ‘Corey gets a real job’
Worthington’s Zoo Weekly gig would have seen him organise the magazine’s strip-search page where game females strip to their undies in shopping centres. He also would have had to empty bins and clean the office toilet.
What do you think of Corey’s latest move – is it a sensible move with a view to the future? Or is it a sly attempt to extract another magazine/TV deal? Tell us what you think
