Australia is in for yet another star-studded summer with the news one of Hollywood’s best-known couples – Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes – is heading Downunder with three-year-old daughter Suri.

Holmes says she is “looking forward” to moving to Australia for three months this summer to film Don’t Be Afraid, with Cruise coming for the ride too.

The young family will be based in Melbourne during their Australian stay.

ScandalAnt is more excited than Katie with this news and excited about the prospect of tension and run-ins between Cruise and ex-wife, Nicole Kidman, who loves heading home to spend time with her family at the business end of the year.

Kidman and her country singer husband are keen for a break at their NSW farm.

ScandalAnt understands celebrity “helper” Libby Wilson is scoping properties in some of Melbourne's up market areas including a properties owned by the family of trucking magnate Lindsay Fox and the high-profile Nettleford clan.

Cruise is already used to living in Australia's best spots, including his former Darling Point marital villa which reportedly sold for about $14 million recently

"I'm really looking forward to it," Holmes, who plays half of a designing couple that are are restoring their old New England house, told USA Today newspaper.

"The movie is really character-driven. It's really her journey becoming a mother. In the midst of that, there are unexpected scares."

It is director Troy Nixey's first full-length feature, with Guillermo del Toro as the producer and co-screenwriter.
