Veronicas Video: Too Racy For Kids? Music 15 August, 2008 - 11:31 AM

With lyrics like 'I wanna kiss a boy / I wanna kiss a girl', the twins' new video for 'Take Me on the Floor' was always going to be racy, but have the girls taken it too far?

The overtly sexual video clip - premiered worldwide on Wednesday right here - features female extras in a nightclub kissing and grinding upon each other. And although it's not The Veronicas themselves doing it (although they get close), it is their most risque clip to date, especially given their under-aged fanbase.

The video also comes on the heels of Jess' on-again-off-again relationship with MTV host Ruby Rose and her nude photo scandal two weeks ago.

Earlier this year, Lisa told us the song was aimed at an older audience: "It's about being in a club and meeting new people, being young and free. It's one of our more dancy songs with the intention of it being played in a club to an older crowd."

It's worth noting though that a clean, less raunchy version than the one below has been cut for TV.

  There's nothing wrong with the clip, people need to realise that these girls are going to grow up sometime! Almost every singer has experimented with a raunchy clip that is bound to raise a few eyebrows. I say let them be creative and make their own choices, it's not everyday that you see twins in the music scene having as much fun as they are!

  I really like it, but that's probably because Im Bisexual..... It's not very suitable for kids, but Jess and Lisa said that they want to target an older audience, and that's what they've done. The Veronicas are growing up, and they've always used music to show their feelings and experiences, and that's just what they've done. Jess has been having feelings for girls lately, and she expresses and shows that in the video. Im totally fine with it, and if kids cant handle the video, then the shouldnt watch it. This music video may cause The Veronicas to lose fans (younger fans) but at the same time they will gain some (older fans). They chose to do this video for certain reasons, so it's not like they just suddenly decided to be "skanky" for the heck of it.

  I agree, I've seen worse. But the problem is that they've tried to make it look sexy- but failed terribly at it.

  It's nothing new, it's boring and the same old. I expected more from this clip.

  The Veronicas are going downhill. They are trying to be sexy and they failed that. They make their music terrible too. they look as skinny as amy winehouse now...

  These girls are 'desperately' seeking attention.
  Must feel the need to do these sorts of video's to get attention.
  They were doing awesome before this rubbish.
  They have joined the Brittney's and all the others who need to use sex and stuff in their videos.
  They use to look really attractive and now, sadly just look tarty.
  But I guess that's what they want to do and it's always going to be their choice.
  As for PINK...that girl rocks without the sleezy videos :)
