Fresh from staging the greatest comeback ever (apparently) at the recent MTV Awards, Britney Spears has announced she'll be releasing her new album Circus before the year's out.

Striking while the iron's hot (and her behaviour's somewhat stable), the rejuvenated singer will drop her sixth studio record on Saturday November 29, four days before her 27th birthday on December 2 (the US release date).

The first single will be 'Womanizer', produced by up-and-coming Atlanta production team The Outsyders. It was originally due to hit radio today but has now been delayed by at least a week (or until it's leaked, haha).

Circus sees Britney reconnect with her hit-squad of producers/writers that worked their magic on her last album Blackout (while she was busy shaving her head and wielding umbrellas).

Timbaland protege Danja, who produced Britters' recent hits 'Gimme More' and 'Break The Ice', is back alongside Swedish songwriters Bloodshy & Avant (who worked on 'Piece of Me' and 'Radar').

Elsewhere, producer Dr. Luke (the man behind Katy Perry's world-wide smash 'I Kissed A Girl') wrote and produced the title track, 'Circus') while Max Martin, who played a major role in Brit's first three albums, rejoins her in the studio for this one.

After two years of turmoil, a hot and healthy Britney Spears took the recent MTV Awards by storm, taking home three moon-men for 'Video of the Year', 'Best Female' and 'Best Pop Video'.

  well im not so sure that she's coming good.
  A friend was recently over in the US, he's a directer and mostly does short films anyway, he was at some huge party and saw britney hooking up with one of the veronica's!!He said she looked very drunk.

  Britney new song and video kicks a**! Shes back with avengence and has anyone thought about that all of a sudden christina, beyonce are suddenly back in the charts mmm is it because britney is back for her crown! I love her! her music rocks! x
