The dirty secret behind Foo Fighter Dave Grohl's boundless energy has finally been revealed and it ain't pretty.

New footage just released from the recording sessions of his side project, Them Crooked Vultures' show a manic drummer on the edge, a junkie just waiting for his next hit.

Yes, Dave Grohl has a serious coffee addiction, and it’s no joking matter. Well, sort of no joking matter.

His bandmates have released this compilation clip of Dave looking for his next hit while in the studio and it makes for hilarious/disturbing viewing.

We're expecting the new Foo Fighters' album will to be a decaf affair.
