As members of Gen Y ourselves, we here at the Dirt are going to have to agree with the results of this poll. Supermodel Miranda Kerr has topped the list of the most admired women among this generation – Julia Gillard came in 58th place.

1200 Australian women completed the survey ranked candidates from 1 to 10 and it was celebs that ranked the highest. Olympic athlete Dawn Fraser came in second, followed by Cate Blanchett and Olivia Newton-John.

Generation Z girls on the other hand dream of becoming sporting stars, not supermodels, when they grow up with Cathy Freeman topping their list of most admired Australian women.
