UPDATE: Monday 9 January 2012

Katy's preacher parents, Keith and Mary Hudson, have followed their daughter's request and are remaining quiet, yet her dad joked about the number of press who've been in church to hear his preaching.

Katy Perry has finally spoken out since news of her divorce to Russell Brand became public.

"I am so grateful for all the love and support I've had from people around the world," she Tweeted yesterday. "You guys have made my heart happy again.

Removal trucks were spotted at the couple's house in LA on Wednesday.

Russell is reportedly set to score half of Katy's earnings over the period they were married, as they didn't sign a pre-nup. Katy is reportedly worth $42 million but recent reports suggest that may have sky-rocketed to $67 million thanks to constant touring and a very successful recent record.

Do you think it's fair for Russell to score half of Katy's money?
