Aussie star Liam Hemsworth says he was shocked when girlfriend Miley went in for their first kiss!

The pair pashed on the first day of filming their new movie The Last Song, but Liam wasn't exactly kept in the loop.

He says "It wasn't in the script. I read the script and it just said, 'frolicking on the beach.' So [the film's director] was yelling things like, 'Splash here! Push her over! Jump on his back!'

"But then she yelled, 'Kiss him!'?It was good because you can get nervous with the first kiss. But there was no time to get nervous. And it's not like you can stop and say, 'No!"
