Sixteen year old star Miley Cyrus has caused controversy at the Teen Choice Awards.

During a live performance of her track 'Party In The USA' Miley hops up on top of a box and starts pole dancing.

You can hear the crowd's shocked murmur on the video - is this just too sexy for a teen audience?

Her performance is the latest in a series of headline grabbing moments for Miley this year.

A few weeks ago sexy photos of her were posted on Twitter by Hollywood producer Adam Shankman. And who could forget THOSE photos of Miley pulling her eyelids which upset the Asian community?

  There is no way you can call that pole dancing. she jumps on the box squats gets up and then holds on the pole and continues singing.

  theres nothing wrong with what she did but, it is getting to her head. if shes meant to be a role model for kids, why do it? but if it was for older kids, there'd be no problem.

  she can do whatever she wants its her body and if she chooses to pole dance she can pole dance she doesnt need crap about it. maybe it was a spur of the moment thing that wont happen again she is changing and turning into a woman she does not need bad press hassling her 24/7 i mean you wont say this about paris so why say it about her?
