Are You Pitch Perfect For The Job?
Study Finds People With Higher Voices Considered Attractive But Less Trustworthy
You probably wouldn't think it, but our voices are quite important in finding a job.
Research out of Chicago's Booth School Of Business has found a good voice rates better than a well written resume or landing a promotion.
The study found a lower pitch appears stronger, competent and more trustworthy than high pitched voices.
"The words that come out of a person’s mouth convey the presence of a thoughtful mind more clearly than the words typed by a person’s hands - even when those words are identical,” the report states.
Ironically, the opposite is true for attractiveness. Women with high pitched voices are presumed to be more good-looking.
