Get ready to reach for that can of deodorant, with news 2016 will go down in history as the hottest year on record.
Just when we thought 2015 was as bad as it could get, the UN weather agency has revealed we are on track to set a new global heat record.
The World Meteorological Organisation also said the final six weeks of the year would have to be the chilliest of the 21st century for that to change.
WMO Secretary-General Petteri Taalas said in a statement in Marrakesh, Morocco, it was "very likely" that 2016 would be the hottest, barring a freak chill in coming weeks. But true to style, President elect Donald Trump has called climate change a hoax.
According to Reuters, a source in his transition team has indicated he'll try to get the US out of the 2015 Paris Agreement ASAP. That agreement aims to get countries to boost their use of renewable energy.
