Daily Telegraph Dole-Bludger Made The Whole Story Up
"I thought I was being cool."
A Sydney teen on welfare who made front page news after saying she'd rather spend her time "chilling at Maccas" than working, actually has a job at McDonald's.
17 year-old Amy and her 21 year-old pal Ashleigh told the Daily Telegraph they spend their time taking their Barina off road than spend time looking for a job.
But now Amy's dad has said she has just been "acting up' and has been working at Penrith McDonald's store for 7 months.
"She's just a silly teenanger who was acting up and wanted her five minutes of fame," said Steven.
"She made the whole thing up... she just wants her 5 minutes of fame.'
Amy's dad also claimed she has been depressed and that he will take her to a counsellor.
Amy has also admitted to having a job.
"I do work, I don't know why I made it up, I thought I was being cool."
