Road Trip Games Hamish & Andy 17 July, 2008 - 2:30 PM

Well guys, we're both off on a little road trip to the snow tomorrow but on the way we thought we might make things interesting!

What's better on a roadtrip than playing a few roadtrip games for points?!

Our boss grumpy Dave has kicked things off by suggesting that either one of us gets points for being the first one to arrive at work for the roadtrip in the morning.

We also really want your suggestions. What are some good competitive games we can play on our road trip?

  if your on a busy road you could play car cricket. you take turns in counting cars that go past and when you see a red car you have to stop counting. car = 1 point taxi = 2points emergency vehicles = 5 points. whoever has the most points win

  wait i got a better one. i play it with my brother. 1 person chooses something and the first person to see it gets to punch the other. this might not be to safe if one of you is driving but still fun

  A few of my mates and I played this game when we went camping a few months ago, its called the "mine" game and your not allowed to say "mine" and if you do you have to take a shot. But that may not be best while your driving... but you can do other things then taking shots, but the idea is to try and make the other person say mine

  One of my favourites is car cricket. We make up the rules a bit different each time, but something like white cars are no run, other colour cars are 1 run, trucks 4 runs, buses 6 runs and motorbikes are out (then onto the next "batter"). Can change which vehicles get which points - but you get the picture. Most runs wins!

  Best road trip game going around is deal or no deal "long haul edition"
  Basically one passenger is the presenter and the banker putting random values against numbers 1-20 the contestant plays and dreams of what he will do with the prize money(virtual of course) the rest of the passengers are up for guessing what's in each box! so good!

  My sister and I play a game where if you think of "The Game," you lose. You then get half an hour to refresh your memory, then start again.

  hey guys
  if ever i am REALLY bored in a car and someone is asleep, i used to collect as many bugs as i could find in the car and put them on the sleeping person's face. its so funny when they wake up covered in bugs.

  well this is a game that me and my sisters play just when you go throw a tunnle you have to hold your breath and who ever can hold it for the longest wins also when you go over a bridge left your feet up off the fround who ever can hold them up for the longest wins!

  my family play "car cricket"
  kind of hard to explain
  but you count the cars on the other side of the road... each car is 1 point, caravans is a 6, and motobikes are a 4.. and then you're out if you get a truck
  it's heaps of fun!
