Gary Ablett may have taken the 2009 Brownlow medal - but who won the prize in the fashion stakes?
His partner Lauren Phillips looked classic and classy in a floor length Thurley gown and bold jewellery.
But the most talked about dress of the night had to belong to Geoffrey Edelsten's fiance Brynne Gordon who wore the sparkly bra and black chiffon combo (above) which, surprise surprise, she'd bought in Las Vegas.
Although the dress has received criticism from fashionistas, she says she felt beautiful and doesn't think her gown should bother anyone! But what did her fiance think?
Listen Here:Brynne's look may have been a stand-out, but disappointingly many of the other WAGs chose similar style dresses. One-shoulder Grecian looks were all the rage, as chosen by Nadia Coppolino, Donna Johnson and Alex Fevola. White wedding-style dresses seemed to flood the red carpet too. Do we think those girlfriends are dropping hints to their partners??!
Bling was also making a big comeback for 09, with Collingwood star Dane Swan's partner Taylor Wilson wearing a blue gown encrusted with 1105 diamonds - the largest being a one-carat stone.
And Rebecca Twigley caused her usual stir in a floor-length chiffon J'Aton creation, and jewellery worth a reported $320,000. Her look is being called one of the best of the night and is bound to inspire highstreet look-a-likes in the next couple of months. We love the stunning bodice work and girlie colour - but does it beat her infamous 2004 plunging red number?
