Baby Survives Getting Hit By Train Posted by Team Matt & Jo 16 October, 2009 - 5:54 PM

A Melbourne baby has had a miracle escape after his pram rolled under a moving train.
CCTV from Ashburton station has been released showing a mother pushing her baby's pram onto the platform. She releases the pram and glances away, unaware that the sloping platform had caused the pram to roll towards the track.
There are terrifying scenes as the mother and onlookers realise too late that the pram is in danger, and make a desperate dash to grab it.
A peak-hour train pulls into the station as the pram reaches the edge of the platform, causing the baby to be struck and fall under the moving vehicle.
The destraught mother paces the platform as people run for help.
Incredibly the baby was rescued from under the train with apparently just a bump to the head.
Watch the video and have your say on this miraculous escape!

That boy is so lucky. I still can't believe how it escaped with a minor scar and a bumb. I had just got of that train at that station 5minutes before that baby was hit. I am shocked but thankful that this boy is unhurt.

This is lesson we can learn for all mothers. Thank God the infant is alright, the poor mother though she will be shaken for life and what i what i want to know is, what is the brand of the pram? The pram was built well no doubt but an improvement would be to produce prams that don't roll!

This looks staged, maybe a stunt to create awareness about safety on train platforms?
