Celebrity Mums That S**t Me and Why! Posted by Jo Stanley 3 February, 2009 - 9:12 AM
Celebrity Mums that s**t me and whyNicole Richie – because she started the baby as accessory craze for the younger generation of Hollywood. Until her, the likes of Ashlee Simpson understood that they were just party girls and lucky to be stars who can’t really sing but have managed to fool us all. Now, they’ve turned having a baby into some kind of fad which alarmingly may lead to Paris Hilton reproducing, and we do not want that.
Christina Aguilera – because she once said : "When he's breast feeding I just sit there and stare at him. I'm in awe of this little miracle.''
But so it is for all mothers and babies. I imagine, through observation, that breastfeeding allows very little options but to sit and stare _ at your baby, wistfully at the remote control you can't reach or regretfully at your own breasts which you no longer recognise.
Mum’s like her swan around like they’ve found some higher purpose because they’ve managed to reproduce. Millions of women have done the same. It is special. For everyone. Your experience isn’t any more special, just because you got $1 mill for the baby photos.
Bec Cartright – because she shares way too much information. How they conceived, how was the birth, how many stitches. I expect to completely block out this detail of myself, so shut up about you.
Gwen Stefani – for managing to wear perfectly applied bright red lipstick all the time, regardless of pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding and screaming toddler.
Minnie Driver – for refusing to saying who the father of her child is. Its none of my business, but how can I judge if I don’t know?
Princess Mary – for wearing heels home from the hospital
Cate Blanchett – for chairing the 2020 summit 4 days after giving birth. Matt, Troy – do not go getting any ideas! You’ll be lucky to hear from me within 4 years of pushing that kid out.

Hey guys,Celebrities have sh*ted me for years.I can not stand it when the media and public label these celebrities as 'super mums'.I'm a 35 yr mother of 5 moments away from no.6 and would love to see Ange live my life without the financial opportunities.I am by no means struggling any more financially than my neighbors, we all find it hard to keep on top of bills and putting food on the table. My husband works longer hours to help make ends and I am a stay at home mum who is up all night tending to two toddlers under three, running to the toilet every hour due to the large bundle in my belly!Up at 6 to get three older kids ready for school of which I drop 2 at primary school and one at high school. We're in the car for 3.5 hrs a day as school is so far but every minute is well worth it.I have no need for Nannys' as I love the choices we have made!!! Yes I would love a break every now and then who wouldn't(our biggest windfall is thru fox where the kids and I enter your movie competitions and have won a couple of family movie passes it keeps us excited for months!!).We are in the process of working to build a bigger home, not a massive mansion in the Bahamas just something bigger than our 3 bedroom,1 bathroom home and then hopefully a bigger car,but every achievement we make we appreciate that little bit more.So personally I consider myself the lucky one because I am not continually looking for something to fill the void of happiness I already have acheived it!!!

It angers me to the point of distraction, how irresponsible celebrity mothers are! why they feel making something that is so challenging right from birth, through till they leave home, seem so blissfully easy on the surface to us every day mortals is nothing short of wrong wrong wrong!.

No woman who comes home from the hospital in real life without round the clock nannies, cooks, cleaners and a myriad of other staff and helpers can or will ever look less than floppy, sleep deprived and generally crappy at least for the first few months after the birth anyway.
It took me a year to just lose the baby weight! and trust me i'm no size 8. It would be nice to see some real post baby photos, without having a make up and hair crew do them up for the million dollar photo's. So if you are a new mum take no notice of the falsehood that is "celebrity motherhood"!!! and just enjoy it for what it is warts and all.
