Summer is slowly creeping up on us and that means one thing…Festival Season!

And the best kind a festival, is a food festival. C’mon who doesn’t love alfresco dining?!

Here are the best Foodie Festivals you MUST check out!

Noodle Night Market: From now – Nov 27,  @ Birrarung Marr Park

The heavy weights of Asian dining are getting together to outdo each and it doesn’t disappoint. Expect to find stalls from favourites like Mr Miyagi, Kong, Chin Chin and Hawker Hall. If you can fit in room for dessert then hit up Messinas or N2.

Note: Good place for a first date and the Pimms set up is siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick!

Paris to Provence Festival: This weekend!  Nov 18 & 20, @ Como House South Yarra

Fall in love with French food! Delight in gooey cheeses, crusty baguettes, buttery croissants, delicate macaroons, fluffy crepes…and the list just goes on. You can sample the finest French food all while touring the historic gardens at Como House.

Who knows maybe you’ll meet a French man.

Note: This festival takes picnicking to a whole new level.

Queen Vic Night Market: Every Wednesday 5-10pm, Elizabeth St, Melbourne

This one is a classic that’s been around for ages.  It’s a good place to catch up with a bunch of mates and it has a smorgasbord of cuisines from all over the world.

Note: You’ll find amazing street food that even the fussiest of eaters will love.

Food Truck Park

Hallelujah now you can find your food truck faves in the heart of the city!

Or if you’re from the North side check out the Preston pop up and the Coburg Drive in.

  • CBD Pop Up – 80 Collins Street, This Friday Nov 18
  • Preston, 518 High St
  • Village Drive in Coburg, Food Truck Festival - Dec 11 & 12

November 18 – 20

The Big Chicken Festival

November 25 – 27

Sweet Tooth Truck Festival

December 16 – 18

Summer Seafood Weekend

St Kilda Twilight Market: Starting Thursday Dec 1, O'Donnell Gardens, St Kilda

If bustling markets aren’t really your thing then pop down to the St Kilda Twilight market.

It’s usually less crowded so you can easily grab something to eat and find a spot to chow down under the palm trees.

Note: You can catch a stellar sunset on St Kilda beach too! Heaps of hippies go to this one.

South Melbourne Night Market, every Thursday from Jan 5 – Feb 23

All the regular restaurants on the outside of the market stay open and a bunch of street vans and stalls crowd around.

You’ll find some different street food, a bit of craft and occasionally well known bands like to make a surprise appearance here.

Note: Try the paella. It’s perfect when you don’t know what to do for dinner.
