Taxpayer money is being spent festively, lighting up the Melbourne Town Hall and Federation Square.

Embracing the festive season,each night in the lead up to December 25Christmas projections will light up our city. As well as being beautiful, these lights are a not so gentle reminder to hurry up and complete your Christmas shopping!

Where: Melbourne Town Hall and Federation Square

When: Every night from 9:00pm – 10:40pm til December 25

Cost: Probably the only thing this Christmas that is FREEEEEE!

DRINK FOR A REASON OTHER THAN GETTING DRUNK, BARS ACROSS MELBOURNE

Need a good excuse to have a drink this weekend? Here’s one!

Bars across Melbourne are banding together to raise money for Scarf, with their “Do More Than Drink” campaign. Scarf assists young refugees, asylum seekers and migrants find employment with paid hospitality training and mentoring. So how can you help?

Eaaaasy. This weekend, over 30 Melbourne bars will be donating $1 from each drink sold to Scarf. So drink up! Your hangover will be worth it.

When: Friday December 2 – Sunday December 4
