Tyson Koh Is Disappointed About The Lockout Law Change

"It's kind of a slap in the face"

Changes were made to the Sydney lockout laws overnight, allowing an extra half an hour for establishments and punters.

We caught up with the Keep Sydney Open campaign manager Tyson Koh regarding the change, who expressed his disappointment in the overall change.

"An extra half an hour, it's kind of a slap in the face!" Tyson told Rove and Sam "It'll make a big difference for the operators, they've been struggling. But from a punters perspective, I don't think it will make a difference at all."

The ruling was made by a 79 year old Queensland based high court judge, in a 149 page review document.

"It shows that he is quite out of touch" Tyson points out "He calls out 18 - 49 year olds in a dissmissive way, like their opinions don't count and he also says Newcastle is a better comparison to Sydney than Melbourne is!"

But what will Tyson be doing with his extra half hour? "I have been inspired by Justin Timberlake and I'll be dancing my butt off!" he laughed.

"But we've just got to keep fighting."
